Master’s in Landscape Architecture

The landscape program at CEPT University has been at the center of creation, nurturing and propagation of landscape knowledge in India since the last 30 years. With a diverse course offering, the program develops future professionals who can confront the challenge of landscape architecture in both natural and built environments.

With an aim to create quality professionals, the program offers a wide range of learning, ranging from the basics of landscape foundation studios to vertically integrated studios that offer collaborative peer learning. To complement the hands-on studios, the courses offered allows to foster design thinking and explore multiple ways in which landscape can contribute positively.

Graduates of the MLA program demonstrate the ability to:

• Gain comprehensive understanding of landscape, its dynamism as well as perception in space and time, actors that shape landscape – anthropological and natural
• Acquire knowledge, skills and understanding of landscape planning, design and management, in order to create new or conserve existing landscapes
• Identify and assess landscapes
• Develop physical as well as programmatic outcomes in landscape
• Formulate policies and develop designs for protection, management and planning of landscape, including establishment of procedures for stakeholder participation

 

Our graduates are presently working with leading landscape architecture and design firms in India and abroad, while many have chosen to establish their own practice. A section of the graduating students also chooses to pursue teaching and research as their career path. The program thus allows choice of a wide range of opportunities for its graduates.
