A: As a new approach to design education, this course is tailored specifically for the urban realm, and brings together the study of the city and design in ways that encourage innovative, cross-disciplinary thinking and solutions to the problems we face in urban India.

This five-year bachelor program gives students a professional training that equips them to work as designers in the public realm, and to analyse the urban environment, its systems, and its multiple scales. Students will be taught to use design skills, analytical tools and knowledge of legal frameworks that are required to design public infrastructure, facilities and amenities, and policies and regulations that shape the built environment. To do this, they will learn to assess the interactions of political frameworks, social and cultural relationships, and economic dynamics with the physical landscapes and systems that form the city.

A: This program is a design based program.

B. Plan programs train students as planners, working primarily with different types of plans from the neighbourhood to the city level, to equitably allocate land resources in the city. The knowledge they gain about the city is generated in support of the creation of these plans. The B.UD program focuses on design problems for public space. This means that students will not only study the city, but make design proposals for how its spaces can be, from bus stands and street furniture to the design of gardens, waterways and streets.

A: The valid score of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is accepted for admission to the BUD program. Applicants must clear the NATA test and submit the valid score along with application form. Please follow the NATA schedule for relevant dates and information.

A: For the bank loan CEPT has tie-up with a few banks. Students can also avail bank loan from their own home-town. In either case, bank loan subsidy to the tune of 50% is given on the interest paid to the students as per CEPT University criteria.

A: CEPT Career Office offers hand holding support to all graduating students about possible career opportunities as well as facilitates on and off campus placement activities. The career office also organizes regular workshops and programs to enhance the graduate employability and to expand career horizons.

A: All programs at CEPT University are non-residential. Regardless, limited hostel accommodation is available for new incoming students. This is available on first-come-first-served basis after an application to the Student Services Office. Apart from this, Student Services Office also facilitates home-stay arrangement for out-of-town students for an initial period of two weeks. They also facilitate and support students in identifying external housing options based on their preference and budget.
