A: The program offers 3 studios in the first three semesters. The final semester has a choice of 3 studios where students decide their specialization and opt for the same. The program imparts a comprehensive knowledge of designing reinforced concrete and steel buildings, major industrial structures such as silos, water tanks, chimneys, bridges and marine structures. Advanced methods of structural analysis, Foundation engineering, Evaluation of failures, repairs and rehabilitation, Timber structures, Prestressed concrete structures, Finite element analysis, Non-linear analysis of structures, Theory of plates and shells are the other relevant subjects being taught in this program. Different electives and summer winter schools are also offered as a part of the Master’s curriculum.
