“The M.Tech BEP program has built on my skills as an architect by providing knowledge in the field of energy efficiency in buildings. It covered through the basics of climatology, passive strategies, building physics, and building systems along with the use of simulation tools to implement and validate the energy efficiency measures and strategies. “The M. Tech BEP program has a data-driven design approach. The vague idea of architects' point of view of approaching a design based on assumptions that the strategies like stack effect, ventilation will work as planned can be verified and confirmed. The workload is quite extensive and thorough, as it requires a lot of experimentation and calculations. The faculty is very supportive and well versed with the contents of the course. The coursework talks about the factors that determine the performance of a building, and its analysis and ways to reduce it.”
