A: After the successful completion of the program, the student will be awarded the degree of Master of Technology in Building Energy Performance.

A: In the mandatory coursework, the subjects that are covered are: energy and environment issues, theory and best practices for achieving energy efficient building performance, energy and lighting simulations, physical measurement and evaluation buildings, building science, passive cooling, HVAC systems, lighting and daylighting systems, renewable energy systems, communication for energy efficiency. Additional elective coursework covers: introduction to scripting and computer programming, research design, and participation in design competitions. Students also have the opportunity to enroll in hundreds of other elective courses offered at CEPT University as well as the courses offered in Summer and Winter Schools.

A: There is no provision of dual degree programs currently at CEPT University. However, the University allows you to take up to 12 % credits in any other program offered by other faculties—Architecture, Planning, Design and Management—at the university.

A: Applicants for the M.Tech. program in the general category shall have a minimum of 55 % aggregate marks and those in the reserved categories shall have a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks in qualifying degree (or equivalent) from a recognized University / Institution. Applicant shall have cleared XII Examination in the science stream.

B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Energy Engineering / Construction Technology / Architecture / Urban Design / Interior Design or Interior Architecture (For Architecture/Urban Design/ Interior Design and Interior Architecture five-year programs only) from a recognized University/ Institution.

A: Yes, candidates currently working can apply for the program. The application criteria, eligibility criteria and other relevant information can be checked as specified in program website.

A: GATE qualification is not compulsory while applying in the Master of Technology programs at CEPT University.

A: No, there are separate forms for all Master’s programs. If a student wishes to apply for M-Tech in Building Energy Performance program, he/she will have to fill a program related form that is available on Admissions portal.

Note: If a student wishes to apply for other programs also, he/she will have to fill their forms separately.

A: A student, if currently in last year, can apply. However, all candidates are given provisional admission. They are required to submit the original mark sheets from the Institute/University along with the migration certificate, and complete all formalities related to their previous degree before the commencement of the first semester at CEPT University (dates will be updated on the CEPT University website). Failure to do this will result in cancellation of admission.
