Applicants for the Master’s program in the general category shall have a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and those in the reserved categories shall have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks for the qualifying degrees from a recognized institution.
Qualifying Degree
- Bachelor’s degree (BE/ B.Tech) or equivalent in any branch of Engineering / Bachelor’s degree in architecture / Bachelor’s degree in Planning / Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s (Honours) – BSc (Honours)- (4 years program): Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in any branch of Science / Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Geography / Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Mathematics / Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Agriculture / Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Geology / Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Earth Sciences from a recognized institution.
- Master’s (MSc) degree in any branch of Science / Master’s degree in Geography / Master’s degree in Mathematics / Master’s degree in Agriculture / Master’s degree in Geology / Master’s in earth sciences / Master’s in computer applications (MCA) from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor’s (B.Sc) degree (3 years program):Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science / Bachelor’s degree in Geography / Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics / Bachelor’s in Agriculture / Bachelor’s degree in Geology / Bachelor’s degree in Earth Sciences from a recognized institution.
Important note: Candidates taking admission in the program with BSc degree (3 years program), after successful completion of this 2 years program, will be awarded MSc degree.

Work Experience
Applicants should have minimum 5 years of overall experience as on the last date of application of the year in which the application is made, with at least 2 years in service of the organisation sponsoring his study. This organisation can be academic, industrial, or research-based in the relevant field for which the candidate is seeking admission.
