Master’s in Structural Engineering Design
The entire application process will be online. Separate applications must be submitted for each program. Following are the steps and checklist for submitting the application forms.
1. Completed the application form.
2. Upload the self-attested Degree certificates and mark sheets for all the semesters. Applicants in the final semester must submit all the mark sheets until the penultimate semester. Applicants receiving grades as GPA/CGPA must submit the % equivalency certificate obtained from their respective institute/university indicating the conversion of GPA/CGPA to percentage of marks out of 100.
3. Upload the self-attested copy of 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet or Diploma certificates and marksheets for all semesters. Applicants receiving grades as GPA/CGPA in Diploma program must submit the % equivalency certificate obtained from their respective institute/university indicating the conversion of GPA/CGPA to percentage of marks out of 100.
4. Upload the valid GRE score card. GRE score shall be considered valid if taken within the last 2 years. In case of invalid GRE Score or international candidates did not appear for GRE, they will have to appear for online CEPT PG Test. (For International/Foreign candidates)
5. Upload the Curriculum Vitae.
6. Upload the relevant Professional experience certificates. Note: Only full-time work experience in the program relevant field will be considered.
7. Mention two references, either from academia or from industries.
8. Upload relevant achievement certificates received from international/national or state level competitions.
9. Sponsorship Certificate and/or No Objection Certificate from the last employer. (For Sponsored Candidates)
10 Proof of Employment (Appointment letter, Form No. 16 for the last two years from the last employer, Experience certificate(s) indicating minimum experience of 5 years, any other proof as deemed necessary by the committee) Note: Only full-time work experience will be considered. (For Sponsored Candidates)
Evaluation Process
Eligibility Check and Shortlist:
All applications received will be scrutinised for the eligibility based on information provided/uploaded in the application form. Only the applicants meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for further criteria of assessment.
Details of the personal interview and entrance examination
Step 1
Personal interviews of all candidates will be conducted online. The applicant must ensure appearing for the online personal interview on the announced date and time. Candidates may be offered admission in round 1 based on their performance in all the criteria (% of marks obtained in 10th, 12th or diploma, % of marks obtained in Bachelor’s program, relevant work experience, online personal interview and international, national or state level achievements) except for CEPT PG Test. Candidates will need to appear for the CEPT PG Test (Step 2) and their final merit rank will be inclusive of all criteria along with the test.
Step 2
A computer-based entrance examination will be conducted at different centres across India. It will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) related to Verbal English, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematical Ability. The applicant must ensure appearing for the examination on the announced date and time.
Final Merit List
The final merit list will be based on the compilation of performance of marks obtained through evaluation criteria as listed below:

Separate merit lists will be generated for all M. Tech programs based on the total score of the evaluation criteria mentioned above. Applicants will be admitted to a specific M. Tech program based on their rank on the corresponding merit list to fill the available seats.

The candidates will be then shortlisted for the personal interviews. The applicant must ensure appearing for the online personal interview and online CEPT PG Test in case of invalid or non-availability of GRE score card on the announced date and time.
Final Merit List
The final merit list will be based on the compilation of performance of marks obtained through evaluation criteria as listed below:

Separate merit lists will be prepared for seats of sponsored candidates. In the absence of enough eligible applications or applicants qualified in the admission procedure, the seats will be filled with other eligible and qualified candidates. Applicants will be admitted to a specific M. Tech program based on their rank on the corresponding merit list to fill the available seats.
