Master's in Urban Planning
For admissions in Academic Year 2024-25, the process for the four Master of Planning (MUP, MUI(MUI- WASH), MUTS, and, MUH) programs will be conducted jointly in a common pool. Successful candidates will be admitted to the Semester 1: Foundation Program.
After completing the Semester 1: Foundation Program, students will be able to give their preference for each of the four specialisations and they will be allocated a specialisation of their preference. There will be no evaluation or interviews for seat allotment.
The combined total intake for all four programs is 132 seats.
The Government of Gujarat has recognised CEPT University as a "Centre of Excellence". Pursuant to this recognition, the government announced new rules on 7th March 2023. According to these rules, a minimum of 33% of the total intake in professional programs offered by the university shall be declared as government seats.
Hence, based on this notification, the current applications for the admission process will be applicable to 67% of the sanctioned intake (i.e. University Seats). The admissions for Government Seats shall be conducted by the respective Admission Committee constituted in accordance with the provisions of the said Act. These seats shall be offered to the students who have passed the qualifying examination from an eligible Board or University located in the State of Gujarat. The students who qualify as per the eligibility criteria and possess domicile of the State of Gujarat shall also be eligible for admission.
